Choosing a material

Cork, bamboo and rosewood engrave differently.

Bamboo gives the best contrast

Bamboo is dense and pale, so the burn reads almost black against it. If the design matters more than the material, choose bamboo.

Cork is the one for big numbers

At the lowest price on this page, cork coasters are what you order when everyone at an event gets one. The engraving is softer and browner than bamboo, which suits a simple logo better than fine detail.

Game sets are keepsakes, not merch

A rosewood card and dice set or a cribbage board engraved with a name and a date is a wedding, retirement or milestone gift. They are the pieces people photograph when they open them.

Can you engrave a date and a name on a game set?

Yes, that is the usual request. Names, dates, a short message, a logo, or all of them. You will see the layout on a proof before anything is cut.

Do the coasters come as a set or individually?

Both, and the catalogue above distinguishes them. The single coasters are priced each. The sets include the holder and are priced as one item.

Do I see the engraving before it is cut?

Yes. We lay out your text and artwork and send you a proof. Nothing goes near the laser until you have approved every letter. If the spacing looks wrong to you, we change it and send another proof.

How does ordering work?

Tell us the item, the quantity and what you want engraved. We confirm the price, take a deposit, then send you a proof to approve. Engraving starts once you have signed off.

Do you ship, or do I collect?

Both. We deliver locally across Greater Houston and we ship nationwide. We work by appointment rather than from a shop counter, so arrange a time before coming out.
