How to choose
Three things decide which piece is right.
Taller reads as more important
A 6 inch piece reads as a thank you. A 10 inch piece reads as the award of the night. If you are ordering tiers for one event, keep the shape consistent and let the height do the ranking.
Flat faces engrave cleanest
Logos with fine detail want a flat, wide face: panels, rectangles and wedges. Globes and faceted pieces look superb but curve the artwork, so they suit text and simple marks better.
Optic crystal is not glass
Optic crystal is heavier, clearer and takes a deeper, whiter etch than glass. It also costs more. If the budget is the constraint, our glass range does the same job for less.
Questions
Before you order.
Is every crystal award supplied with a box?
Most pieces include a foam lined presentation box, but not all of them do. Your quote says which. If a piece you want does not come with one and you need it boxed, tell us and we will sort it.
Can you engrave a full colour logo into crystal?
Laser engraving into crystal is a frosted white etch, not colour. It is crisp and it lasts, but a multi colour logo becomes a single tone. We will show you exactly how your mark will read on the proof.
Do I see the engraving before it is cut?
Yes. We lay out your text and artwork and send you a proof. Nothing goes near the laser until you have approved every letter. If the spacing looks wrong to you, we change it and send another proof.
How does ordering work?
Tell us the item, the quantity and what you want engraved. We confirm the price, take a deposit, then send you a proof to approve. Engraving starts once you have signed off.
Can you handle a rush order?
Rush work is welcome, and it is a good part of what we do. Call 713.334.7446 with your date and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it before you commit.
