Executive gifts

Leatherette gifts that hold fine detail.

8 pieces in laserable leatherette, from a $4.99 coaster to a $66.99 book cover. The laser burns through the grey surface to a darker layer beneath, which gives a sharp, high contrast mark that no printing process matches on this material.

This is a selection of the range, not the whole catalogue. If you have seen a piece elsewhere, or you want a shape that is not shown here, send us the details and we will quote it.

Case quantity is set by the manufacturer and differs on every item, so the quantity that earns a better price is different for each piece. Tell us the item and how many you need and we will quote it.

What engraves well

Leatherette takes detail that crystal cannot.

Fine detail survives here

Because the contrast comes from burning through to a darker layer rather than frosting a clear surface, leatherette holds thin lines and small text. A detailed crest that would turn muddy on glass reads cleanly here.

The obvious retirement gift

A zipped book cover or a portfolio with a name on it is the gift people keep on a desk for years. It is the category clients come back for when a printed mug did not feel like enough.

Coasters work as sets

Individually they are the cheapest thing on this page. As a boxed six, engraved with a company mark, they become a proper corporate gift at a price that still works across a whole team.

Questions

Before you order.

Is leatherette real leather?

No, and that is a good thing for engraving. It is a synthetic with a consistent two tone structure, so every piece takes the laser identically. Real leather varies hide to hide and scorches unpredictably.

Can you engrave a photograph onto leatherette?

Yes. Leatherette is one of the better materials for photo engraving because it holds the tonal range. See our photo engraving page for what the laser can and cannot do with a given image.

What artwork do you need from me?

Send whatever you have. A vector file is ideal, but we work from what clients actually have, and we will tell you up front if a file needs redrawing rather than engraving something muddy and hoping you do not notice.

Do I see the engraving before it is cut?

Yes. We lay out your text and artwork and send you a proof. Nothing goes near the laser until you have approved every letter. If the spacing looks wrong to you, we change it and send another proof.

How does ordering work?

Tell us the item, the quantity and what you want engraved. We confirm the price, take a deposit, then send you a proof to approve. Engraving starts once you have signed off.
